Located at 150 James Street South, Hamilton in the heart of the Durand neighbourhood, a transformed terrace home lends its graceful elegance to the Bistro.

Formerly a bookshop and a tailor, the 150 year old home has undergone a facelift. We have restored the original wood floors and the long forgotten, concealed plaster ceilings with lovely chandelier medallions and cove moldings.

The ambience of our dining room is inviting; easterly facing, the dining room is bathed in sunlight during the day from the floor to ceiling windows.

In the evening the chandelier and wall sconces give the bistro a warm, inviting feeling. The soft French background music gently lulls you into the belief that you could be in the City Of Light.

Chef Steven Soloduk leads our team of talented chefs. They cook authentic, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented bistro fare for lunch and dinner seven days a week.

This bistro is casually elegant, with friendly and attentive service throughout the day serving lunch, dinner, wonderful desserts and lighter fare for after work or the theatre.

The intimate bar has a full range of liquor, a well chosen selection of domestic and imported wines (with many by the glass and ½ bottle choices) and beers.

We look forward to your visit. Plentiful parking is available at one of the many street meters on Duke, James or Augusta, or at either of the city lots across the street.
